Military students called to active service return without penalty policyWebster is responsive to military students (active duty, reservists and national guard) who are deployed, called to active duty, have TDY, PCS or other military-related responsibilities that affect their class attendance. Military students whose duty affects attendance can withdraw without academic or financial penalty and are eligible for full tuition refunds. They can enroll in online courses or directed studies without additional tuition charges. Military students are also eligible to complete courses within one-year from the start of the course and can reenter their academic program an extended absence without academic penalty.

Policy concerning students who are involuntarily activated for military serviceMilitary students involuntary activated are afforded the maximum flexibility in continuing with an existing program, or in changing to a different program. Academic advisors at our military campuses are well trained on how to work with involuntary activated students using the services of relevant University offices, and to provide these services in the best interest of a activated or deploying student. The University's policy is simply to insure that student's needs are accommodated and that the student is not penalized academically or financially as a result of the activation.
