About City University of Seattle

CityU was founded as City College in 1973. We changed our name in 1982 to City University better reflect our growth and academic offerings and in 2007 to City University of Seattle to more strongly identify with the region we call home. From the beginning, CityU has been about giving real people the real tools they need to succeed in the real world. Practical education from experienced professionals - people who know what it takes. More than 35 years later, CityU is one of the Northwest's largest private nonprofit universities, with 45,000 graduates and counting.
