Lock Haven University accepts credits from regionally accredited colleges and universities. In order to be eligible for admission, transfer students must have 12 transferable credits and a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students with fewer than 24 credits must also submit a high school transcript. Both high school and college work will be factored into the decision.

Military students called to active service return without penalty policy
Students must consult with their academic advisor and the Vice President of Student Affairs about withdrawal from the University. The Vice President for Student Affairs approves all withdrawals from the University and can recommend that no academic or financial penalty be assigned due to deployment overseas. Students withdrawing from the University must complete a withdrawal form available in the Vice President for Student Affairs Office. An exit interview is strongly encouraged.

Policy concerning students who are involuntarily activated for military service
Lock Haven University works with students on a case by case basis. Students who are involuntarily activated will not be penalized academically or financially. In some cases, it is possible for students to complete the work prior to deployment in order to earn their credit.

Lock Haven University is an excellent choice because we provide a wide variety of programs and activities. LHU offers a variety of support services that include a writing center, math center, and peer tutoring program. Additionally, our Career Services Office is available to assist students with career awareness, exploration, and preparation.
