Policy on the transfer of credits
First-year and transfer students who have received college credit for college-level courses and who can produce an official transcript from a college or university may receive credit for courses for which a minimum of a C was earned. An evaluation of transfer credit is made at the time of admission to provide the applicant with an indication of class standing. All transfer credit in progress or completed prior to acceptance to Chatham must be submitted to the University before the student begins courses. Additionally, degree-seeking students have the opportunity to be awarded academic credit for post-secondary knowledge through Chatham University’s Prior Learning Assessment program.

Students can return without penalty and register for the next term in which they are on campus, and the classes are available. Students are also able to meet with an adviosr before deployment.
Why this school is an excellent choice for military members
Chatham University is pleased to announce its participation in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) effective August 1, 2009. A provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, the program provides matching funds from the Department of Veterans Affairs as a supplement to the Post-9/11 GI Bill. The Post-9/11 GI Bill covers tuition and fees not to exceed $17,500 per year. The Yellow Ribbon Program will match tuition and fees in excess of the portion funded by the GI Bill which are waived by Chatham. This program is available for women applying to undergraduate degree programs, and to women and men applying to graduate and online degree programs.
