Policy on the transfer of credits
A prospective transfer student at Le Moyne College is defined as a student that has graduated from high school and has taken courses for credit at a regionally accredited college or university. Students currently attending high school who are taking college courses for credit are considered prospective freshman and should consult the section Freshman Information. Candidates for admission must file an application by August 1 for fall admission and by December 1 for spring admission. The Admission Committee on a rolling basis reviews completed applications for admission, so it is advantageous to apply well in advance of these deadlines. Applications will be evaluated on the strength of the academic program in college, the grades earned and the applicability of coursework to a Le Moyne degree.

Noteworthy awards or recognitions
For the past 20 years, U.S. News & World Report has recognized Le Moyne's academic excellence and value by naming it one of "America's Best Colleges" among regional universities (those with a master's degree program) in the North. The College has also, for the past three years, been named by The Princeton Review as one of the best colleges in the Northeast.
