Military students called to active service return without penalty policy
Yes; Any student currently enrolled in good standing whose absence from Stetson University is necessitated by reason of service in the uniformed services is entitled to readmission with the same academic status as the student had when the student last attended the institution. Financial Aid will work with the student to recalculate their financial aid plan, as long as the cumulative length of absence for service does not exceed five years.

Policy concerning students who are involuntarily activated for military service
Matriculated Stetson University students called to active duty prior to the end of classes each term, are given three options: 1. Early completion of course requirements if possible or feasible; 2. Withdrawal from all courses without academic penalty; 3. A combination of withdrawals, early completion or incompletes. Any incomplete grade will be carried through the term of the student's active duty tour. The choice is determined on a case-by-case basis through consultation with an academic advisor, Student Success, the instructors and the Financial Aid Office.

We have small classes offering personal service to all students. We have several veterans in key staff positions throughout campus. We understand that veterans can not be treated in the same way as a traditional 18 year old student, and work to better qualify their needs. We are an established ROTC school, thus having a military presence on campus.
