Now in its 4th year, the G.I. Jobs team approaches 12000+ schools, asking them to participate in this industry leading annual survey to help military personnel, veterans and military dependents find schools that are going above and beyond for them.
The G.I. Jobs Military Friendly Schools list is determined mathematically from school survey submissions. No essays are required, therefore no subjective opinions are taking into consideration.Advertising on the Military Friendly Schools list is not evaluated as part of the survey, nor a factor in making the list.
There is no fee to participate.
9th Annual list of Military Friendly Employers, 5th Annual list of Military Spouse Friendly Employers, 3rd Annual list of Military Friendly Franchises, 1st Annual list of Military Friendly Cities.
The Military Friendly Schools student surveys are an important component of our overall evaluation because we get a boots on the ground, first-hand account of their experience. This peer evaluation is very powerful and we’ve found that prospective students seek out personal reviews from a veteran like themselves. Look for the “thumbs up” icon next to a school name for student reviews.
Key personnel at 12000+ schools are invited by snail mail and email delivery to a secure web portal to enter applicable information via a proprietary PIN code.
Schools cannot be added to the list mid-year. The survey is open from spring time to early summer, with the list running from early September for 12 months. A school must wait until the new survey is open before they can be considered via our survey.
You can view more information on our Methodology page.
The reason you cannot find the school on the Military Friendly Schools list is because the university did not make the Military Friendly Schools list for the current year. You will need to contact the school directly for specific information.
From the homepage use either the College Matchmaker tool or type in the name of a specific school to view a list of search results. From the results page, click on the box on the left side of the page next to the school’s name to add them to “My List”. Once the schools are in your list, click on the “My List” icon on the right side of the page.
Submit your question to our panel of experts through our Ask An Expert page.
Schools that have chosen to advertise on our site have the capability to send you information directly. If you are interested in a school that does not have a box allowing you to request information, please contact their admissions department and tell them you came from MilitaryFriendlySchools.com
